Our headgears are crafted from high quality bridle and saddle leather.
The leather is vegetable-tanned (pit tanned for a minimum of eight weeks) in Germany, using traditional craft techniques.
It is a resource-saving tanning process that is accordingly costly.
Following tanning, the leather is hot-stuffed, i.e. the leather is tumbled with oils and hot air in drums.
Harness leather is generously hot stuffed (40% oils).
